JV Football 2010 Preview
Updated on 06/10/2022
FHE JV Football
The FHE JV Hawks football team may be a bit short on numbers this year but those that are out and suited up are giving everything that they have to the effort and make up for the low numbers with lots of heart, positive attitude and effort. With only 22 guys on the team, 19 of which are from the sophomore class, Head Coach Jason Yelding knows he has his work cut out for himself this year because of the low numbers but is every bit as committed to getting this team to improve each week as the players are.
On the field, RB/DL Seth McIntosh, QB/CB Mitchell Pawlanta and QB/CB Andrew Hammond lead the way on offense. The team also awaits the return of injured QB/SS Ethan Poland as well who is recovering from a back injury and should return after a couple of games on the sidelines. FB Shane Flynn gives the team a power back as well that can get some tough yards. Newcomers RB Nate Belt and RB Ryan Townsend should help out in the backfield as well. On the outside SE Blake Massie and SE Connor Linkfield give Hammond and Pawlanta big targets to throw to and are good down field blockers. The big guys up front are OT Rylan Prafke, OG Jacob Mulder, C Jacob Ellis, OG DJ Beckett and OT Jay Kah and they will be opening the holes to allow the running game to work.
On defense DL Connor Linkfield, DL Daniel Specker and DE Drew Barron-Krause will anchor the defensive line for the young Hawks. Newcomer K Lorenzo Deazero comes to the Hawks from a soccer background as a foreign exchange student and should add a solid kicking element to the team. A tough non-conference schedule to start the year followed by the always difficult OK Gold schedule to follow will make for a challenging season.
