The Hawks got out of the gate quickly in last night's 8-2 victory at GR Catholic Central.

Looking to avenge last season's loss on Senior Night, FHE scored 4 goals in the opening 15 minutes. 

Jeremy Ireland finished in the 8th minute after Matt DeVries quickly swung the ball across the pitch into space for a good near-post finish.

Kosti Moni scored on a laser from the left wing, assisted by Nate Loree, just 3 minutes later.

Brendan McCoy scored 2 minutes later on a 1v1 to goal, sprung by a through ball played by Moni.

Ireland scored his 2nd goal of the game at 15:11 as Moni recorded his 2nd assist.

Catholic Central got on the board with just 20 seconds remaining in the first half on a strike from the 18 that caromed straight down off the crossbar and fortuitously across the goalline.

Moni started the second half with a shot from the 18, assisted by DeVries, that found the net just 1:20 after kickoff.

McCoy scored his 2nd goal of the game in the 45th minute, assisted by Ireland.

Alex Harrison put a toe-poke past the keeper in the 54th minute to put the Hawks up 7-1.

Catholic Central tallied their 2nd goal on a lofted ball from 35 yards that made its way over keeper Keith Lemley and into the goal in the 67th minute.

Nick VanderMyde rounded out the scoring in the 78th minute with a strike of his own from distance following a nice pass by Senior Yewhanes Frezghi.

FHE moves to 7-2-2 overall and 4-1-0 in the OK Gold.

The JV Hawks rallied to tie the matinee game by a score of 2-2.  Jake Austin and Jake Stevens had the Hawks' goals.
