The FHE Soccer team traveled to Portage Central for a Saturday afternoon match which resulted in a 1-1 draw.

The Hawks opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Kosti Moni played a ball over the top of the Mustang defense to Brendan McCoy who calmly finished his chance.

FHE played an outstanding second half, but Portage Central was able to equalize in the 47th minute on a cross from the corner which was deflected and sailed over the head of goalkeeper Nick Hopkins and into the top corner of the goal.

The Hawks created several quality chances in the waning minutes of the game but were unable to net the game-winner.

FHE moves to 5-2-2 on the season and will host OK Gold opponent Middleville TK on Tuesday.  JV kicks off at 5pm with the Varsity to follow.

The Hawks JV team fell to Portage Central in the matinee game 8-0.
