The FHE Soccer team traveled to Wayland to open the 2011 OK Conference slate and got off on the right foot with a 4-2 victory.

Brendan McCoy put the Hawks up in the 4th minute after Kosti Moni delivered a through ball past a high Wayland back line.

Just 6 minutes later, Alex Harrison beat a defender and walked in 1v1 on the Wildcat goal for his 3rd goal of the season.

Wayland picked up its play and held the Hawks scoreless for the remainder of the half.

Ten minutes into the second half, Jesse Aronoff scored a hard-fought goal to put FHE up by a score of 3-0.

Ryan Scott rounded out the FHE scoring with a goal in the 58th minute following a Brendan McCoy slotted ball.

Wayland got on the scoreboard in the 63rd goal after Wildcat Evan Holloran beat 3 Hawks off the dribble and followed with a finish to the far post.

The scorebook was closed following Wayland's Sweeris scored with 36 seconds remaining in the match.

With the win, the Hawks move to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in OK Gold play.

The Hawks JV team was also victorious, getting a hat trick from sophomore Jake Austin in the 3-1 win.
