The Hawks traveled to Forest Hills Northern on Saturday afternoon to resume the in-district rivalry.

The first half was a pretty even affair, with FHN holding a 8-6 advantage in shots at goal, but with the majority of the play in the middle third of the field.

In the 46th minute, the complexion of the game changed completely.  Senior Jesse Aronoff won the ball and played it to Kosti Moni, who struck a laser from 35 yards to put the Hawks up 1-0.

The Huskies responded in-kind, desperate to equalize, and went on an all-out attack for the remainder of the game.  FHE sank back into its own half and defended well, limiting FHN's chances to mainly strikes from outside of the 18, with a defender heavily pressuring.  The Hawks maintained their composure and held on, earning a 1-0 victory.

The Hawks move to 4-1-1 on the season and push the all-time record in the rivalry to 4-0-1 in favor of FHE.  Goalkeeper Nick Hopkins and the Hawks defense records the season's first shutout. 

In the matinee game, the JV Hawks fell to FHN by a score of 3-1.  Jake Stevens finished a penalty kick in the loss.
