The Hawks travelled to Middleville on Monday night to take on the Trojans in the OK Gold regular season finale.

FHE wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Senior Mitchal Rosendall struck a volley into the roof of the net following a corner kick by Matt DeVries, just 2:44 into the match.

FHE Senior Brandon Underwood got into the act, just 4:25 later, as he popped out of a crowd of Middleville defenders with the ball at his foot and finished a 1v1 chance with the goalkeeper.

In the 22nd minute, Sophomore Colton Johnson played a beautiful diagonal ball to the feet of Underwood, who streaked in on goal to finish his second goal of the night and stake the Hawks to a 3-0 halftime lead.

Just 1:06 into the second half, Rosendall played a long ball behind the Middleville defense and Underwood ran in on it, carried into the penalty area, and finished a point-blank left-footed shot to complete his hat-trick.

Middleville rounded out the scoring with a finish from 10 yards out in the 62nd minute.

The 4-1 win gives the Hawks the 3rd Seed in the OK Gold tournament, which comprises 50% of the conference championship.  The Hawks move to 8-4-3 on the season and 4-3-0 in the OK Gold.  FHE will host Middleville in the first-round of the tournament on Wednesday night.  JV kicks off at 5pm and Varsity at 6:45pm.
