Zeeland East's Brad Horling rushed for three touchdowns on runs of 9, 12 and 28 yards in a convincing win to open the season. T.J. VanDyken's runs of 3 and 26 yards accounted for the other two scores. VanDyken finished with 124 rushing and 116 passing yards. Spencer Elliot had a 3-yard rushing TD and a 53-yard passing TD to Jeshurun Washington.
