In a torrential downpour, the Hawks played a game on the sloppy grass at Grandville on March 23.
The Bulldogs applied heavy pressure early and goalkeeper Erin Pupel made save-after-save to keep the Hawks in the game. In fact, Pupel was one save short of the school record for saves in a game when she was knocked out of the game due to injury in the 55th minute.
The Hawks eventually fell to Grandville by a score of 6-0 to fall to 1-1-0 on the season.
In the matinee, the FHE JV team fell by a score of 8-0.
