The FHE Soccer team got off to a solid start on Wednesday night in a non-league game with West Catholic.

Jenna Winkel and Jessie Fatum each scored 3 goals, while Julia Schroeter and Jaclyn Goble rounded out the goalscoring.

Morgan Behm (3 assists) and Jaclyn Goble (2 assists) each took turns setting up the goalscorers with great passes.

Erin Pupel, Kelsey Jantz, Megan Hollingsworth, and Emily Smithson played well on defense to keep the shutout.

The Hawks begin the season 1-0-0 and travel to Grandville for a game on Friday.  Kickoff is at 6:45pm at Grandview Elemenary.

In the matinee game, the JV Hawks won 5-1 as Taylor Setchfield tallied a hat-trick.  Brianna McCoy and Peyton George scored the other goals.  Hannah Gawel played well in goal.
