Okemos Write Up:

Ada, MI- The FHNE JV boys improved their record to 2-0 on Tuesday night with a 9-4 win over Okemos.  Forest Hills jumped to 6-1 first half lead, and never looked back.  The game was not as close as the score appears.  Forest Hills possessed the ball in the offensive zone for most of the game.  Long offensive possessions helped to keep the ball out of the defensive end and applied much needed pressure on the Okemos defense.  Out shooting Okemos 37-15 and having 17 out of 21 clears successful kept their defense on their heels.  Strong play by the Okemos goalie helped to keep the game in check by not allowing Forest Hills to run away on the scoreboard.  Brent Cook (N) led the team in goals with 4, while Peter Fisk (N) led the team in points with 2 goals and 2 assists.  Also scoring for Forest Hills were Jason Cain (E) 1g and 1a, Jake Morrison (E) 1a, Vincent Rogers (N) 1g, Ethan Kramer (E) 1g, Jackson Bennett (N) 2a, and Bob Barnett (N) 1g.  On the defensive end Brad Bohay (E), Adam Jarvis (E), Tai Verbrugge (N), Max Haggart (N), Jake Griffith (N), and Matt Richter (N) did a great job defensively, holding Okemos to 15 shots and combining for 15 groundballs and 7 takeaways.
