Game Recap

The Hawks defeated host EGR by a score of 1-0 in the 1st Round of District play on Tuesday night.

After a scoreless 1st Half, play opened up a bit more in the ensuing half, and FHE scored its goal with 18:55 remaining in the match. Sara Aqel won the ball in the Hawks’ attacking third of the field and played a ball to the feet of Rylee Michaels, who laid the ball off for fellow striker Liv Keller, who scored her 9th goal of the year.

The backline of Alena Jones, Macy Hollingsworth, Dasha Everse, and Emily Hickox played a great game for the Hawks as they helped goalkeeper Braeleigh McCoy to her 5th shutout.

With the win, the Hawks advance to the 2nd Round and will play Grand Rapids Christian on Thursday. Kickoff is at 5:00pm at East Grand Rapids Middle School’s Mehney Field.
